You’ve got glass shards and tiny particulates raining down on your silicon wafers. It’s a disaster. Your yield tanks instantly. We build our infrared elements specifically so you never have to deal with that cleanup. Dealing with the heat Most lamps pop because they can’t handle the stress. Either the heat isn’t spread evenly, or they hit a thermal shock they can’t bounce back from. We use high-purity quartz glass and get the wall thickness just right. It’s a balancing act between letting the heat out and keeping the structure strong. Plus, we’ve dialed in the tungsten filament position to kill off those “hot spots” that soften the glass. Real-world tips for the floor When you’re wiring these in, take a look at your PID controllers. If they’re tuned too aggressively, the rapid on-off cycling just hammers the filament. These elements love a steady state. And if you’re swapping these into an old glovebox,double-check your clearances. If the fit is too tight, the ends of the lamp overheat. That’s usually where the leaks and bursts start. Give the ends some room to breathe, and they’ll last a lot longer.
